American automaker GM motors came in India with its worlds best selling brand Opel in decade of mid 90's, after that it again came in competition with its rival brand Chevrolet, and it has captured the hatchback market and also sedan market because of its designe, performance and price, now Chevrolet is again planning to launch Sail in sedan version with price tag of 5-7 lacs. For this Chevrolet had tie-up with China's biggest automotile manufacturer Shanghai Automotive Industries Corporation (SAIC), with this joint venture GM will launch soon Sail which is best selling sedan in China.
Chevrolet Sail basically based on previously launched Opel Corsa, It has come with both variants a petrol and diesel, petrol powered by 1.4L with developing103PS in 6000RPm, also diesel powered by 1.3L with developing 90PS of power, with having 5 speed manual gearbox with same smooth gear shifting what we experienced in Chevy cars.
Chevrolet Sail is a very stylish sedan car from exterior and interior. A well designed aerodynamic shape with body color bumper, fog lamps, aggressively designed head lamps, nicely designed aerodynamic shape front and rear door, maximum visibility of rear windscreen. Chevrolet has designed its interior brilliant and stylish. Its very much comfortable and roomy designed with enough legroom and headroom at front and rear, equipped with features inside like power window, EPS, glass holders, ABS, Airbags and in-build music system .
Chevrolet Sail will give the competition to all best selling and already ruling sedan cars like Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Manza, Toyota Etios and Mahindra Verito, which has already been launched and performing well in sedan market.
Chevrolet Sail is expected to rule the market on December 2011 with expected price of Rs. 5 to7 lacs, so will hope Indian customer will prefer Chevrolet Sail.
