American automaker Ford came-off with its first model Escort in India on 1996, later Ford launched many hatch, sedan & SUV in India. Now again Ford ready to launch first compact SUV ECOSPORT in India on 2012 with price tag of Rs 6 - 9 Lacs, to give tough competition to its rival SUV competitors.
Ford ECOSPORT comes in both petrol and diesel variants, Petrol powered by 1.0L Ti-VCT 3cyl engine with developing 118 PS of power and 175Nm of torque, and diesel powered by 1.5L TDCi engine with developing 67 PS of power which same engine used in Fiesta, with having 5 manual gearbox.
Ford ECOSPORT is a very stylish 5-Seater compact SUV from exterior and interior. A well designed aerodynamic muscular shape body, front shape designed as like concept cars, with aggressively designed head lamps, nicely designed aerodynamic shape front and rear door, maximum visibility of rear windscreen.
Ford has designed its interior brilliantly and stylish. Its base on Fiesta interior, so its very much comfortable and roomy designed with enough legroom, headroom at front and rear and enough boot space at rear, equipped with features inside like A/C power window, EPS, ABS, Airbags, EBD, in-build music system and many more.
Ford EcoSport is the first compact low price SUV of India from Ford, so will give the competition to already launched same price 5-seater all sedan models.
